Hey There! I’m Mandy!

I am where you are now filled with joy with my little ones, making a conscious effort to live in the moment so that I can remember every detail. As my kids get older, I sometimes find myself yearning for those early days when they were tiny again. I have dedicated myself to a lifetime of learning and mastering my craft, so I can guide families in capturing the most meaningful moments and creating the most beautiful artwork that will last for generations. Every time you see your photos, I want them to transport you back to those moments and vividly unlock those powerful memories that become fuzzy over time.

My Story.

Eight years ago, I had my first baby. I never put much thought into newborn photography. I never liked being photographed (still don’t), so I didn’t feel the need for them. I didn’t see the value. I knew I wanted to remember every moment, so I was committed to living in the moment and truly focusing on making core memories. I took plenty of photos with my phone.

It wasn’t until my mom dragged me to a big-box store—I won’t name names—to have photos taken that I realized what I was missing. I felt terrible. I was exhausted, I was self-conscious, but you know what? When I saw those prints come out of the printer, I fell in love with those terribly awkward photos. I loved that we captured the love and my baby. I came to value those photos, and I still have them displayed in my home.

Over time, I began to wish I had more professional photos of my baby—images that truly reflected how I saw my child through my own eyes—perfect. Not the over edited ones with all the props and weird unnatural poses. But I couldn’t find anyone who captured what I wanted, so I decided to become that person. And I did. I poured my heart into learning and mastering photography. I read books, took course after course, and soaked up everything I could about the art of photography. Now, I have the most beautiful photos of my family—images I am insanely proud of—that transport me back to when my children were little.

I knew I needed to share this gift with other moms. That’s why I created Sage & Bloom—for moms like you. You deserve more than just photos; you deserve something real. Something that brings you right back to this beautiful, messy, love-filled season of life. My goal isn’t just to take pictures—it’s to give you an experience that feels effortless and leaves you with timeless, heartfelt images. The kind you’ll look at years from now and feel everything all over again.
